The Bold Fisherman was sung by the father-of-the-bride at a family wedding reception back in the 1940's. When my father asked my cousin about the song, he said that he knew it but that he didn't play an instrument to show him. So my father did what he so often did during those years - he put a guitar in cousin Tim's hands and showed him his first few chords. Then Tim, in turn, taught him the song. It's been in the family songbook ever since. Steve and I recorded it on "Tales from Puddletown".
