Castle of Dromore
The Castle of Dromore is considered one of the oldest Irish songs on record dating back to the early Middle Ages. It's sweetness is known to lull even the most resistant to slumber. Kate's recording of this song originated on Hearts Ó Space Celtic Twilight 3: Lullabies, and then again on Tales from Puddletown and Pearls in duet with Steve Einhorn. Kate has been know to this song on demand at any moment during every October of every year as requested by Steve in fulfillment of their nuptial vows.
Below is an unexpected partial video (thanks to Lisa Lynne Franco). Kate plays the guitar in dadgad tuning in the key of F. It is easy to follow along on any instrument, and the chorus begs all to sing it's sweet refrain: "Hush a-bye loo, lo loo, lo lan. Hushabye loo lo loo.
