GENTLE ARMS OF EDEN

by Dave Carter
Dave Carter was a transcendental songwriter who affected many of us here in Portland, and everywhere people heard his songs. Before long, Joan Baez brought Dave & his partner, Tracy Grammer on tour to share his beautiful songs with her dedicated following. The YouTube below is a fresh version only days after the song was written (in the key of C) by Dave & Tracy in a duo performance at the Sisters Folk Festival. The Gentle Arms of Eden has become an anthem for the Winterfolk festival in Portland, Oregon, who raises money to provide permanent housing for the homeless in Portland.
